All-of-us Express Children's Theatre occasionally puts on special events. These may be celebrations, fundraisers, or just an extra opportunity to introduce community members to the program.

Upcoming special events

Save the date to join us for the annual meeting of the AECT board of trustees, which will take place at 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 10 in room 235 of the Hannah Center. Come for a short (like less than 30 minutes) and sweet (ice cream social after) meeting to cover a few bylaws updates, vote on new board members, and distribute the annual report. All AECT members have voting privileges. If you are interested in serving on the board or joining a subcommittee (no board membership required), please contact us prior to the annual meeting. Board members will be available to answer any questions about AECT and its nonprofit board. Details about the board and its activities, in addition to the proposed bylaws changes, can be found on our Board of Trustees page. 

RECENT special events

Costumed cast members of The Witch's Princess visited the East Lansing Farmer's Market in October to hand out candy and flyers about the upcoming show. Many of the Farmer's Market patrons were also dressed up, as there was a costume contest the same day!
Our Anna and Elsa characters charmed community members at the East Lansing Farmer's Market! The two youth actors handed out flyers for the upcoming show, sang selections from the production, and posed for photos with children. 

The mini concert was live on Instagram and Facebook, and the recording can still be found on our Facebook page. 

Past special events

  • Opening Night Receptions—an event hosted by the AECT board, including appetizers, beverages, and conversation, held on Opening Night of main stage productions
  • Annual Board Meeting & Ice Cream Social—Attendees enjoyed ice cream and in-person conversation, followed by our annual meeting. This meeting is open to all AECT members and  includes the election of new members to the AECT Board as well as typical board discussion and committee updates.
  • Instagram Live—a special live-streamed version of the AECT perennial favorite "Blanket Theatre"
