How Reading Came Back to Nowhere

The people of Nowhere are illiterate. Learning to read wasn't too much trouble. They are ruled by a ruthless dictator, Maestro Mean, who controls them by keeping them illiterate and poor. When a literate young woman named Parsley comes to the village, they implore her to teach them, risking her life and theirs.

Performed in December 2009 at Hannah Community Center in East Lansing.

Directed by Miranda Sue Hartmann; assistant directors Cami Sigworth and Dan Domino. Running crew supervisors: Costumes: Sandi Sigworth and Laurel Domino;  Makeup: Morgan Lees;  Props: Miranda Sue Hartmann;  Set Construction: Boofer Lees;  Tech (lights and sound): Chris VanZwoll.

How Reading Came Back to Nowhere by Richard T. Young. Produced by special arrangement with I.E. Clark Publications, PO Box 246, Schulenburg TX 78956.
