Just So StoriesPerformed April 28-30 & May 5-7, 2006 at Lansing's Riverwalk Theatre. Once upon a time, O my Best Beloved, Rudyard Kipling told stories to his children, wrote them down, and in 1902 published them as the Just So Stories. Our stage adaptation includes the favorites: "How the Camel Got His Hump," "How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin," "The Sing-Song of Old Man Kangaroo," "The Elephant's Child" and "The Cat That Walked by Himself." Directed by Evelyn Weymouth, with casts and crew of local young people. Adapted for the stage by Bren Dubay from the Rudyard Kipling stories. Produced by special arrangement with I.E. Clark Publications, Schulenburg, Texas. This production was sponsored by All-of-us Friends. Presented with the support of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Capital Region Community Foundation, Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, Meram Properties, LLC / Broder & Sachse, and the Capital Area United Way. |
