Our Elves and the Shoemaker is a Grimms' tale, but not a grim one. The hard-working and honest shoemaker, Johann, and his wife Frieda, are helped by three elves, who they reward and send on their way. Adapted from Grimms' Fairy Tales by Adele Thane. Produced by special arrangement with Plays Magazine. Adapted for stage by Gary Peterson and Larry Nestor, Stone Soup is a tale about ingenuity and trust, set in Belgium after the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. We see three tired and starving soldiers trying to return home find a way to make a hearty feast for themselves and an entire village, seemingly out of one tiny stone. Adapted for stage by Gary Peterson and Larry Nestor. Produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois. |
