Acting Intensive Workshop at All-of-us Express Children's Theatre

Who?

Participants: All-of-us Express youth members, ages 14 - 18

When?
Fridays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
(Offered in ongoing eight-week blocks, with some breaks for hoidays and show weeks.)

Where?
The All-of-us Express rehearsal space in Logan Square.

What is it?
It's a workshop for those thespians who are very serious about developing their acting process in a free-working environment. Each participant will choose the project they wish to work on, whether it is a monologue, a scene, an audition piece or cold reading. They will learn to balance their creative instinct with logic-based planning to give an emotional, as well as visual, experience to their audience.

• The first portion of each session will be spent learning the history of dramatic arts, performance exercises, methods of character building, script breakdown and audition techniques.
• The second portion will be spent on projects.
• The goal is for each particpant to develop a creative process that will help them produce their best work onstage and off.
